Immy Sidhu

Imogen (Immy) Sidhu is a regular player in the Suffolk Women squad and plays her club cricket at Melton St. Audry’s Cricket Club, Woodbridge.

Immy was the top run scorer in the ECB national T20 standings with 293 runs to her name, passing fifty in each of her first 4 innings. She was also in the top 8 wicket takers nationally. Here is a short interview with her on cricket:

 

 

How long have you been playing cricket?

I have been playing from the age of nine, for eight years.

How did you get into cricket?

I got into cricket by watching my older brother play for many years and decided I wanted to play as well.

Who are your cricketing idols?

My cricketing idols are Jos Buttler, Chris Gayle, and Tammy Beaumont.

What is your go to shot when batting?

My go to shot when batting would be the pull shot.

What is your role in your team?

I am a right arm off spinner and a top order batsman.

What is your favourite warm up activity?

My favourite warm up activity is playing hand hockey with the vortex as it is enjoyable.

What is your favourite thing about cricket?

I like the competitive feeling of the game by playing with and against friends, as well as playing new players. I also enjoy scoring runs and getting wickets, but mostly winning the game.
