IPSWICH Cricket Club is to stage the MCC Men’s Regional T20 Finals.

These are taking place at the club’s Clay Hall ground next Tuesday, July 4th.

The two semi-finals will start at 11am, with MCC East Anglia taking on MCC Home Counties and MCC North West facing MCC North, North East.

Lunch will be taken once those matches have been completed, before the final takes place.

The club’s bar will be open from 12 mid-day, and there will be a barbecue from lunchtime.

The MCC East Anglia side is expected to include Joe Ellis-Grewal, who played a handful of matches for Suffolk and Ben Harris, who played for the county’s T20 side in 2019.

Rick Jones of Ipswich CC, who is organising the event on behalf of the club, said: “Ipswich Cricket Club are delighted to host this event.

“It is a real feather in the cap for the club and all those involved in the organisation of the day.

“The quality of the opposition guarantees excellent cricket and with a Final at Lord’s at stake, we are sure that all players will be striving for that elusive final place.

“The bar will be open and there will be a BBQ for all spectators, with ample parking for all. We hope you will join us.”
