Richard Parker (Carbon Champions & Eight Ash Green CC) has sent the following opportunity to us;

Apply for FREE Club EV Chargers.  The Plug In Suffolk programme provides a unique opportunity for clubs to apply for FREE community Electric Vehicle chargers.  But hurry as applications end on FRIDAY 19 JANUARY 2024.   Here is the link to the Plug in Suffolk page with the expression of interest document that you need to submit by then.  Remember this works both ways:  it’s not just for your home club, it’s for your opposition when they visit … and for you when you travel away too.

ALL costs are covered providing chargers are available when the club doesn’t need them, there is nothing else this generous  in the UK.

Plug in Suffolk is designed to improve Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in Suffolk and provide an alternative for residents who do not have access to off street parking. The project provides open access community charge points across the county. Installation of the charge point is funded by Plug in Suffolk and the charge point will be maintained for a minimum of 7 years at no cost to the site holder. The host organisation will receive a share of the revenue generated from the charge point and is expected to assist in publicising the charge point to the community. Phase 1 of the project was hugely successful and has been used by government departments as an exemplar for EV charging.”
