James Anderson’s 1st professional wicket was a Suffolk player !

May 7, 2020

James Anderson celebrated 20 years as a professional cricketer recently, which for any player is a great achievement, but particularly for a fast bowler.

What you probably don’t know is that the first professional wicket that he took, was Russell Catley, during a match between a Lancashire Board II and Suffolk.

Full details of this and Derek Randall’s involvement in this match and his playing time with Suffolk can be found at; https://www.thecricketer.com/Topics/banner/james_anderson_lancashire_england_cricket_derek_randall_suffolk.html

Congratulations to Jimmy for reaching this milestone, hopefully we’ll see you in an England shirt again soon.
