Women’s Softball Cricket

Women’s Softball Cricket – a game for everyone!
If you have tried cricket before or have always wanted to try it out, why not get in touch with your local club or contact our Women’s & Girl’s Development Officer (Amy Richford) to find out where your nearest softball club is!
Softball is a fantastic introduction to cricket. It is a great way to make new friendships and have fun whilst doing so.

2025 sees the introduction of a brand new format in women’s softball cricket – The Hundred Softball League. This format is a pairs game, which follows similar rules to that of The Hundred that you have seen on the TV!
We are also continuing the Women’s Softball Festival Leagues with two different groups of teams entering this summer.
Softball cricket is all about FUN – bowl, hit and catch some balls. Run around with your friends and have a great time! Minimum equipment is needed with no pads or helmet needed to take part! It is a game for everyone, no matter your levels of experience, fitness levels or age. Each game and festival lasts no longer than a couple of hours, so it never gets boring!
