Conrad Wright

January 21, 2021

It is with sadness that we have learned of the passing of Conrad Wright. Some lovely words from Ross Stannard.

It’s with great sadness I am writing to inform everyone that Conrad Wright passed away in his sleep on Monday 18th January 2021.

I wish to pass on my condolences to all the family at this difficult time.

As we all have known Conrad for many years he will be deeply missed, as a player for many years (Yoxford. Melton St Audrey’s, Suffolk Over 50’s 60’s and 70’s to name a few) but many would know him as keeper of the results and tables in his folder/book dating back many years, as he had held the job of Fixture Secretary of the Suffolk Alliance since 1984 until 2019.

Personally I will miss a great friend and the many phone calls about missing results, cricket and general day to day things and wandering round the boundary at the Cup & Plate finals walking the dog. It was a pleasure to be a part of his cricketing life, like so many others, RIP

Ross Stannard (Chair Suffolk Alliance)
