Worlington CC
June 27, 2021Worlington Cricket Club is located in west Suffolk and caters for women of all abilities. Their women’s team is coached by Terry Small and captained by Jazz Freed; both of whom ensure that trainings are fun and enjoyable for all participants of any ability (don’t believe me? follow them on instagram to get proof! @worlingtonwcc)!
Having developed from a women’s softball team created a few years ago, Worlington women are a great inspiration for clubs looking to build a women’s hardball or softball side and are a great team for new players to be a part of.
Find out more about the club from Kate Green…
Worlington Women’s Cricket Club was formed in 2019 but this year is our first as part of a league (Two Counties Cricket League – Ladies T20 West). We saw a fabulous influx of enthusiastic beginners when we were able to start training again in April and the majority of them have stayed! We train on a Thursday evening (6pm-8pm) with our fab coach Terry Small.
Whilst we’re learning how to play cricket, we’re also getting a bit of a work out but most importantly we’re having fun! There is a lot of laughter during our sessions and that’s what makes it utterly perfect! You are guaranteed to enjoy yourself if you come along to our little club – I’m sure of it! We have a range of experience – some players have played for 30 years and others are picking up a bat for the first time ever. If you’d like to learn more about Worlington WCC then get in touch via our Instagram or Twitter pages (WorlingtonWCC), we’d love to hear from you.
For more information on the amazing work the women are doing at Worlington CC follow them on social media or contact the club for more details. Follow their Two Counties West campaign on Play-cricket.
Keep up the great work!
