Steve Smith Electrical agree three-year deal
April 26, 2022SUFFOLK cricketer Steve Smith’s business is to sponsor Suffolk Cricket for the next three years.
Steve Smith Electrical has previously sponsored the Suffolk Seniors’ sides, but has now agreed a three-year business partnership.
The company’s logo will appear on the shirt sleeve of all Suffolk sides in addition to continuing to support Seniors’ cricket in the county by providing polo shirts for the county sides.
Steve Smith, who is a wicket-keeper/batsman with Ipswich CC, has previously played for British Sugar, Falconers, John Players and Kesgrave.
He has represented Suffolk Seniors since 2014, initially for the Over-50s and more recently the Over-60s, making a combined total of more than 60 appearances, including some as captain.
Steve Smith said: “I have sponsored the polo shirts for the Seniors for a few years now and it was great to be asked to sponsor the playing shirts of the whole set-up.
“It’s a great way to showcase my company which as been trading for 34 years this year.”
Suffolk Chairman Andrew Squire said: “Steve has been supporting Suffolk Cricket, through the Seniors, over a number of years now, so to build on this partnership will help provide additional benefits in other areas.
“We must thank Steve for what he done already and looking forward to working with him over the next few years.”
