Vicki is appointed as first CEO

July 11, 2026

VICKI Askew is the first Chief Executive of Suffolk Cricket Ltd.

She was appointed as Operations Manager last November in succession to Rob Jones, who stepped down after 15 years running Suffolk Cricket on a day-to-day basis.

Her role has been changed to better reflect the work she has already carried out and the intent of the business as Suffolk Cricket Ltd moves forward.

Vicki (pictured above) said: “I am very pleased and grateful to the Board for recognising the work I have undertaken since joining nine months ago.

“Having a CEO within Suffolk Cricket truly reflects the ambitions and intent to challenge ourselves for continuous improvement, and the desire to develop strong partnerships to be able to deliver a greater experience and opportunities for the community of Suffolk.”

Suffolk Cricket Ltd Chair David Mann said: “The Board unanimously agreed that Vicki should be appointed CEO of Suffolk Cricket Ltd.

“This is a strategic move that rewards all Vicki’s hard work over the past nine months and recognises the need for Vicki to have the gravitas of CEO status in her various meetings and discussions with our various partners, both cricket and commercial.”

Vicki, who has a wealth of experience around regional sport, governance and sport development, was born and raised in Suffolk.

After starting as a multi-sport coach at the age of just 17, Vicki has held a variety of roles including as Sports Development Manager at Active Suffolk (Suffolk Sport as it was then) and also CEO of Hertfordshire FA.
