CAG programme applications open
June 18, 2026APPLICATIONS for the Suffolk Cricket County Age Group programme for the 2026-27 season are now open.
Talented young cricketers from across the county take their next step in the player pathway every year. They develop their skills, challenge themselves, and create memories while representing Suffolk with pride.
Lizzie Shaw, Performance Cricket Administrator with Suffolk Cricket, said: “If you know a player who would benefit from being considered for the programme, we encourage you to submit an application.
“Anyone can nominate a player, although we ask that wherever possible the application is completed by a parent or guardian rather than a coach or teacher. This helps ensure we have the most accurate and complete player information.
“Before completing the application form, please take time to read the below documents carefully, they contain important information about this year’s selection process and requirements.
“We have also included an ECB video that explains some of the questions you will be asked as part of the application process and, for those who are successful, when accepting a place within a County Age Group squad.
“We strongly encourage all applicants and parents to watch the video before starting their application.”

Applications will remain open until July 10th.
Once an application is submitted, players must provide video evidence in line with the attached guidance.
These videos play an important role in helping the coaches assess each player’s current ability level and, importantly, ensure that it is appropriate and safe for them to attend the live trial stage.
All videos must be submitted by July 17th.
Following the review process, players will be informed whether they have been invited to attend the live trials, which will take place between August 20th and 26th.
“We know that every player’s cricketing journey is unique, and we are excited to see the talent, enthusiasm and potential that exists across Suffolk.
“Whether this is your first application or you have been part of the programme before, we encourage players to put themselves forward and embrace the opportunity,” added Lizzie.
